I know this is sudden, but I'm going to be getting some time off soon.
We've completed most of our work on the new "project" (sorry, you know I can't talk about work) so they're giving us some time off as a reward for all our hard work.

Abbiamo quasi ultimato il nuovo "progetto" (scusami, sai che non mi è permesso parlare di lavoro), per cui hanno deciso di concederci qualche giorno di ferie come ricompensa per l'impegno dimostrato.

All the staff are leaving tomorrow and we'll finally be getting out of this country.

Tutto il personale partirà domani e finalmente potremo lasciare il paese.

I'm heading straight back to Arizona, and I can't wait to get home and see everyone.

Intendo partire immediatamente per l'Arizona. Non vedo l'ora di arrivare a casa e di rivedere tutti.

More than that, I think I'll just be happy to get away from "the high and mighty" Miguel. Guy thinks he's some sort of super genius.

Oltre a questo, sarà un'autentica gioia liberarmi di quel pallone gonfiato di Miguel. Quel tipo crede di essere una specie di supergenio.

Miguel's a guy that sits next to me at work, and he's a good researcher and all, don't get me wrong.

Miguel è un tipo seduto vicino a me in ufficio. Per carità, non fraintendermi, è un bravo ricercatore.

He's got some good ideas and is good at noticing details, but every time he opens his mouth he just goes on and on about how great he is. You can't even begin to imagine what torture it is to hear that day in and day out. I wish we made a sedative I could use on him.

Ha delle buone idee ed è abile nel notare i dettagli, ma ogni volta che apre bocca non fa che parlare di sè e delle sue incredibili doti. Non puoi neppure provare a immaginare che tortura sia starlo ad ascoltare tutti i santi giorni. Vorrei che producessimo un sedativo da potergli somministrare.

But forget all that.

What matters is that I should be back home within the next few days. When I get back, I'll give you a call. We gotta go out and get smashed. I could use the break.
